The College of Development Communication of the University of the Philippines Los Baños welcomes its new dean, Dr. Ma. Stella C. Tirol, whose appointment was approved by the UP Board of Regents today, Dec. 3.

Dr. Tirol is an associate professor at the CDC Department of Development Broadcasting and Telecommunication, where she was serving as chair. She also served previously as director of the Office of Public Relations.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Ph.D in Development Communication from UPLB in 1981, 1987, and 2014, respectively. Among her fields of specialization are participatory communication and communication materials development and production.
