UPLB continues to record high marks in engineering board examinations.
A testament to this is the recent release of the Professional Regulation Commission showing that UPLB is a top performing school in the November 2016 Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination. With 46 passers out of 51 examinees, the University registered a passing percentage of 90.20%, making it one of only two universities to enter the list, the other being UP Diliman.
This comes one week after UPLB was declared as a top performing school in another engineering exam, the Civil Engineer Licensure Exam.
UPLB also garnered a high passing rate in the earlier May 2016 intake of the chemical engineer board exam, with 86.49% passing percentage.
The national passing rate for the November 2016 exam is 58.17%, with 534 passers out of 918 takers. (Mark Jayson E. Gloria, with information from www.prc.gov.ph)
