OSA-CTD names psycho-social activities winners

The Counseling and Testing Division of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA-CTD) concluded its psychosocial program for freshmen, by holding a culminating activity and the annual search for Lakan and Lakambini, at the DL Umali Hall on Oct. 29.

The culminating activity recognized the winners of contests held from August to October as part of the “package of psychosocial events to help the freshmen adjust to life in the University,” said Atty. Eleno O. Peralta, officer-in-charge of OSA, in his opening remarks.

Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Julieta Delos Reyes addressed the students on behalf of Vice Chancellor Portia G. Lapitan, saying that UP is also about the creative arts and that UPLB would like to nurture and hone them to become multi-talented persons.

Student-volunteers from the UPLB Gabay Volunteer Corps assisted OSA in organizing some of the events. Gabay is OSA’s way of developing love for public service among the students, according to Janett Dolor, OSA-CTD head. (Ma. Carmela F. Aquillo and Halyn Lunel A. Gamboa)

The following are the winners in the events participated in by 79 freshmen blocs:
