
The two-day orientation program for the Personnel Unified System Outlook (PUSO) and Budget Utilization and Liquidation System and Analytics (BULSA) was held on July 2 and 3, at the CEAT Lecture Hall.
PUSO and BULSA are information systems built by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research of UP Diliman. These systems will be implemented in all UP constituent universities, replacing the current University Information Systems (UIS). Several faculty and staff from UPLB, UP Diliman, and UP Open University gathered for the event.
The event was organized by the UPLB Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration, led by Vice Chancellor Rolando T. Bello who gave the opening remarks. UPD Vice Chancellor for Administration Adeline A. Pacia followed and introduced the PUSO and BULSA projects.
On the first day of the roadshow event, Asst. Professors Raymond Freth A. Lagria and Georgina L. Ang Dy Pay, the UP Diliman-based core PUSO and BULSA team’s main speakers discussed the data requirements and modules covering PUSO. On the second day, Assistant Professors Georgiana L. Ang Dy Pay and Benette P. Custodio talked about the modules of the BULSA project.Later on, all the participants in the event engaged in hands-on practice, demonstration, and open discussion for the implementation of the aforementioned systems.
