UPLB CATL conducts Qualtrics training for UPLB academic staff

The UPLB Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) conducted a two-day Qualtrics Core Research Training on May 30-31, 9am to 12pm, via video conference. The training was conducted in cooperation with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs through the Academic Program Improvement (API) fund.

Thirty participants comprising faculty members and research, extension, and professional staff (REPS) from the different colleges in UPLB attended the training.

According to Dr. Edmund Centeno, director of CATL, the training primarily aimed to guide UPLB academic personnel in maximizing Qualtrics as a research tool for creating and distributing surveys, visualizing data, and generating reports.

The two-day hands-on training was facilitated by BlinkCX (Thinkblink Inc), the distributor and provider of CX advisory services to UP. The training session included discussions, software demonstrations, and short exercises. Gabriel Revalo, BlinkCX consultant, and John Paul Rallos, senior customer experience lead of BlinkCX, served as the resource speakers.

They discussed the basic principles of the platform in survey building, distribution, data visualization, analysis, and reporting. They also discussed using the iQ engine, focusing on the Stats IQ statistical tool. After the training, three consultation sessions were scheduled for the participants to explore the platform. (Beverly R. Pabro)
