The University has entered into a formal partnership with Monde Nissin Corporation (MNC) to elevate and strengthen the fields of human ecology, nutrition, and food science technology. The collaboration was cemented with the signing of a memorandum on August 5 at the BM Gonzalez Hall.
The partnership focuses on providing substantial support to UPLB students and researchers. MNC will fund undergraduate scholarships for students from the College of Human Ecology and the College of Agriculture and Food Science. The scholarships are designed to nurture the next generation of professionals in the food science and nutrition sectors.
MNC will also extend its support to graduate-level research, offering grants for master’s and PhD students engaged in advanced studies at both colleges. This initiative is expected to enhance the research capabilities of UPLB and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in food technology and human ecology.
The signing ceremony was led by Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr., representing UPLB, and Atty. Maria Olivia Misa on behalf of MNC. (Ana Vera G. Oleta)
