UPLB signs 24th HEI partnership with Manila Central University

A Memorandum of Understanding between UPLB and the Manila Central University (MCU) was formalized on May 27 at the Office of the Chancellor.

Both higher education institutions (HEIs) agree to develop curriculum and faculty development, research collaboration, and promote other academic cooperation.

In his message, Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. highlighted the 24 partnerships with HEIs during his leadership which are handled by the Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education (OIDHE). He underscored the need of HEIs to learn from each other during the transition to the new normal.

Chancellor Camacho signed the agreement with MCU’s Vice President for Planning and External Affairs Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr., along with other university officials and representatives. An internship program for MCU students by the UPLB Museum of Natural History will be one of the initial joint activities made possible by the partnership.

Also present during the event were Dr. Greg T. Pawilen, OIDHE director, and Luningning T. Estanislao, MCU president. (John Glen S. Sarol)
