UPLB-SSO gets rescue vehicle from IRRI

The UPLB Security and Safety Office (SSO) recently acquired a pick-up truck to enhance its mobile capability courtesy of a donation from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).

The vehicle, a pick-up truck, will be used in emergency response in support of the UPLB Risk, Emergency, and Disaster-Ready (READY) program.

A short program was held for the formal turnover of the vehicle on April 19. It was led by Olawale Fajobi, deputy director general for institutional services and systems of IRRI and UPLB Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr.

Members of IRRI’s Safety and Security Services were also present as was Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs Roberto P. Cereno and SSO Director Eric Paul D. Peralta. (Kyle Ramiel Dalangin)
