Call for Participation: Environmental Youth Conference 2017

Are you a passionate environment advocate aged 16 to 28 years old?

You could be one of the 200 delegates in the Environmental Youth Conference 2017 (EYC 2017) on Oct. 21, 2017 at the M.K. Tan Hall, Bayanihan Center, Pasig City.

With the theme “SYNERGY: Unleashing youth potentials in building climate-resilient communities,” EYC 2017 aims to inform the youth on the need for climate-resilient and sustainable communities anchored on the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP22) and its implications in the Philippines. It also seeks to educate the youth on actions towards building climate-resilient communities and to engage them in contributing to movements toward climate-resilient communities.

The Conference will discuss topics on COP22, strategies and approaches for disaster resiliency in the Philippines, the role of good governance in building climate-resilient communities, on-going strategies to combat climate change through creative arts and media, and the importance of funding institutions in these endeavors.

Now on its second year, EYC is presented by the University of the Philippines Society of Human Settlements Planners (UP HSP SOC), together with the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning, College of Human Ecology, UPLB.
