University of the Philippines Los Baños

Here are some valuable tips when planning your first trip to the campus. Travel to Los Banos may be as long as 2.5 to 4 hours depending on the traffic.

From the National Capital Regional (Southern area)

From the domestic and international airport terminals in Paranaque City, ask the taxi cab drivers to bring you to the bus stations in Buendia in Pasay City. Taxi fare is from PhP 150.00 - 200.00

These stations are near Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, or EDSA, the main thoroughfare of the National Capital Region (NCR).

JAM Transit Bus Station is on northbound side of EDSA, while DLTB Bus Station is on the Baclaran-bound.

DLTB has newer buses and are much comfortable seats. For both stations, look for buses going to "Sta. Cruz". If you intend to go to UPLB, tell the conductor that you will go to "College". Bus fare should be less than PhP 150.00.

You will be dropped at the Caltex gasoline station fronting the Olivarez Plaza. From there, take the jeepney going "UPLB."

Take note that there are two jeepney routes inside the campus. The first is "Kanan" which is going to turn right after the UPLB gate, and the "Kaliwa," which is turning left after the gate.

From the National Capital Regional (Northern area)

Ride the Light Rail Transit (LRT) from Balintawak or Monumento and go down Gil Puyat Station. DLTB is at the exit before traversing EDSA, while JAM is on the other side. LRT ticket is about PhP 20.00.

From the National Capital Regional (Western area)

If you are coming from the western parts of NCR or from the northern provinces of Luzon, go to Cubao Crossing (Ibabaw).

HM Transit Bus Station is on the Pasay-bound side of EDSA. It is less than 100 meters from the Victory Liner Cubao Station. Look for buses also going to "Sta.Cruz." Bus fare should be less than PhP 150.00

  From Batangas Port

Arrive at the Batangas Port via your favorite sealiner. From the port, you can take the buses bound for Manila via STAR Expressway. Go look for buses that will pass by "Turbina" in Calamba, Laguna where you will get a jeepney to go to Calamba Central Station. Alternatively, you can ride the passenger vans from the port area to the Calamba Central Station.

At the station, find the jeepneys going to "UPLB" or "UPLB Gate" if you intend to go to UPLB. Jeepneys up to "UPLB Gate" will not go into the campus.

  From Bicol Region

Buses from the Bicol Region do not go into the heart of Laguna Province. After Quezon Province, it will pass by San Pablo City and Alaminos town of Laguna before going straight to Batangas. You may consider alighting in San Pablo City. Ask the conductor to drop you at SM San Pablo City.

From SM San Pablo, ride a tricycle to "Sambat" where you can find jeepneys going to Los Banos via Calamba City. Go down at Los Banos Crossing and cross the junction where you can take a jeepney going to the campus.

Again, there are two jeepney routes inside the campus. The first is "Kanan" which is going to turn right after the UPLB gate, and the "Kaliwa," which is turning left after the gate.
