CPAf to mark its 24th anniversary

The College of Public Affairs and Development (CPAf) will celebrate its 24th anniversary with the theme “Forging Leaders for Institutional Governance and Development.”

CPAf will conduct a series of online events every Friday, starting from Jan. 28 to Feb. 11 at 9am. It will be a month-long celebration of three parts.

The first part will take place on Jan. 28 and will focus on the national elections and the need for leaders for institutional governance and development.

Dr. Clarita R. Carlos, former professor of political science at UP Diliman, will be the speaker during the program on Jan. 28.

The program will also feature an awarding ceremony to honor CPAf outstanding personnel.

The Mandanas Ruling and the leaders needed for its effective implementation will be the topic of the second event, which will be held on Feb. 4.

Among the speakers is Atty. Odilon L. Pasabara, assistant secretary for special concerns of the Local Government Sector of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

This part will also feature a book launch and an introduction of the Development Innovations and Policy Laboratory of CPAf.

The third and last part of the celebration is the closing event which will be held on Feb. 11.

During this event, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, president of Northern Bukidnon State College, and Fr. Ruel F. Lero, president of Holy Name University, will lead a seminar on the challenges faced by HEIs in developing leaders.

Other new projects of the College will also be introduced during the event.
