Researchers and faculty members join Fulbright-CHED Scholarship

The Philippine-American Educational Foundation has officially announced the list of Filipino students and scholars who have qualified for the 2022-2023 Fulbright-CHED PhD Scholarship Program on June 21.

Fulbright-CHED scholars will conduct research, attend fellowships, and pursue their doctoral degree programs in the United States. Among the most recent batch of qualifiers are researchers and faculty from UPLB.

Sheila F. Abacan is an assistant professor at the Institute of Human Nutrition and Food, College of Human Ecology (CHE). She will be taking a doctoral program in Food, Nutrition, Dietetics, and Health at Kansas State University.

Fevi Rose C. Paro is an assistant professor at the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning-CHE. She will pursue a doctorate in Public Health at the University of Florida.

Ma. Theresa Jonna A. Atienza-Parcon is a university researcher at the National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and will be pursuing a doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Roden Carlo M. Lizardo is an assistant professor at the Institute of Weed Science, Entomology, and Plant Pathology at the College of Agriculture and Food Science. He qualified to pursue a doctoral program in Plant Pathology at the North Carolina State University.

The grantees will receive funding for tuition and fees, settling-in allowance, monthly maintenance allowance, books and supplies, in-transit allowance, health and accident insurance, and travel expenses. (Kyle Ramiel Dalangin)
