UPLB is sprawled at the foothills of the legendary Mt. Makiling. With an elevation of 1,090 meters and covering an area of 4,244 hectares, Mt. Makiling is recognized for its high conservation importance and is one of the Philippines’ 18 centers of plant diversity and 32 key ecotourism sites.

School children and special interest groups are welcome to visit the university for educational, even recreational tours. UPLB is an active player in the Los Baños tourism activities and we promote not only UPLB but its role in the development of the town and its environs as well.
