UPLB DSB4B Cohort One Students Start their Data Science Journey

Twelve individuals from diverse business backgrounds, were among the first batch of students who kicked-off the Data Science Basics for Business (DSB4B) training course offered by the Department of Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (DAME), College of Economics and Management (CEM), UP Los Baños. 

UPLB DSB4B is a 13-week training program composed of 3 learning modules namely programming fundamentals, data analytics, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) and a choice add-on between design sense and Linear Programming (LP). The virtual training is designed to equip management practitioners with basic data science tools and techniques which they can practically use in making relevant and sound decisions towards competitiveness. Cohort One of the program will run from August until November with each module taking four weeks to complete.

Application and screening for the second batch, which will commence by September 18, 2021, is currently on-going. Interested participants may sign-up at bit.ly/DSB4Bprereg to be considered for Cohort Two.
