Public service banners opening flag ceremony

UPLB opened the new year with public service as its rallying banner at its first flag ceremony of the year
on Jan. 8, 2024 at the BM Gonzalez Hall.
The flag ceremony was hosted and attended by units and offices under the Office of the Chancellor.
In his message to university personnel, Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. emphasized the value of public
service as UPLB continues to serve for another year.
“Tayo ang national university. Tayo ay inaasahan na maglingkod sa ating sambayanan. Kaya sa lahat ng
aspeto ng ating pamamalakad ng pamantasan, nandyan po ang honor and excellence, pero mas
pinapaigting din po natin ang ating public service,” he said.
[We are the national university. We are expected to serve the nation. That’s why in all aspects of the
university’s administration, we practice honor and excellence, but more importantly, we are committed
to public service.]
Chancellor Camacho also commended the personnel for their continuous service and hard work for
UPLB. (Jessa Jael S. Arana)
