UPLB broadens its academe-industry collabs with 3 new partners

UPLB continued strengthening its linkages with government and private institutions by signing partnership agreements on June 9.

The University welcomed DMCI Project Developers, Inc. (DMCI Homes), Seven Peaks Design and Build, Inc. (SPDBI), and the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE) as its new industry and government partners during the signing ceremony at the BM Gonzalez Hall.

Engineering students from the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT) will have opportunities to learn and get exposed to the industry’s best practices and experts. 

UPLB may also provide technical assistance and conduct joint research programs with industry and government partners as part of academe-industry cooperation. 

During the signing ceremony, UPLB was represented by Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr., with Dr. Rossana Marie C. Amongo, dean of CEAT, serving as a witness. 

Faculty members of CEAT also attended the signing ceremony. 
Signing on behalf of the industry partners were Teresa Tiongson, vice president (VP) for human resources of DMCI; Wilye Padilla, VP for operations of SPDBI; and Engr. Janice Vargas of DA-BAFE. (Ana Vera G. Oleta)
