LRC launches free job search coaching for graduating students

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) hosts free consultations with a human resources expert to help young professionals and graduating students land their dream job, career, or internship. This is conducted at the LRC Learning Hub and via online conferencing every Thursday from June 30 to September 29, 2022.

LRC’s partner is Brian Carlo A. Hipolito, an internationally renowned human resource officer at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, China. He is a graduate of BS Human Ecology and Master of Science in Development Management and Governance, major in Organizational and Institutional Development, both from UPLB.

Hipolito will give free one-on-one consultations for graduating students seeking tips and strategies to improve their job searching skills. Some topics that he can give expert tips on are creating a well-written resume and cover letter, preparing for a job interview, and negotiating job offers.

The LRC previously collaborated with Hipolito in March 2021 in the “G K Pa Ba Mag-Online Learning?” webinar series, where he shared his expertise on how to stand out in job applications by writing a “killer” resume and cover letter and how they can ace job interviews.

Since this first collaboration, he has continued sharing his passion through webinars all over the Philippines and abroad with his advocacy “Changing one resume at a time and inspiring one job applicant one day at a time.”

In January 2022, he again served as one of LRC’s resource speakers and shared more advanced and comprehensive tips for young professionals. He also gave helpful tips on how to negotiate job offers.

UPLB constituents may avail of the face-to-face consultation while strictly following the COVID-19 safety protocols. Group consultations may accommodate up to 5 members. Non-UPLB participants may schedule a meeting consultation via Zoom.

Appointments for a one-on-one or group consultation may be scheduled through this link: https://calendly.com/lrc-uplb. (Sheryl Edd P. Hermosa-Ebron and Joshua Michael G. Jonas)
